Our trip on the North of India was now at it's end. Running late for the airport our driver decided to do something NONE of us had ever experienced.
The traffic in front was at a standstill...horns were blaring and beggers knocking on the car windows demanding $$$.
Our driver saw another car had completed a U-turn and he followed. Then the exciting part begun...What you might ask? BOTH cars drove through and dodged on coming traffic....YES you are reading right. Both drivers were going up the wrong way on the freeway, beeping their horns and just like an arcade game dodging on coming cars, tot tot's, buses and trucks.
It was scary and exhilarating at the same time....Crazied laughter echoed out of my lips the entire time.
What a blast!
We saw parts of Delhi you would normally not see in our driver's attempt to get us to the airport before the gates closed. We made it 10 minutes before the gates closed!!!
